Anna Marie Pavlik
Anna Marie Pavlik was a Catoctin Mountain Artist-in-Residence in May 2011. She lives in Frankfort, KY and has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art from the University of Minnesota, Duluth. She also has a Drafting Certificate in Mechanical Drawing from St. Paul Vocational School. When she worked for the 3M Company in product development, she completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. She has received one patent.
Anna Marie works in printmaking, specifically etching and the layered monoprint technique of stratigraphy. The process of conceiving an image on the plate and then printing a series of impressions allows her to develop ideas in a visually interesting way. Anna Marie has been published in four books, the most recent is "Trail Guide to the Northland Experience in Print and Poetry", Calyx Press 2008. She exhibits her work frequently through galleries, curated exhibits and juried shows. She believes that art should be part of the community. For that reason, she shows work in the Kentucky County and State Fairs, as well as galleries. Anna Marie Pavlik | River Gallery (river-gallery.com)
