Janet Nave

Janet Nave was a Catoctin Mountain Artist-in-Residence in September 2010. She is a semi-retired professional artist living in Frederick, MD. She is a graduate of the University of Maryland with a B.A. in art, specializing in figure painting and portraits from live modes. She collaborated with Elinor Miller for several years providing illustrations for the Frederick News-Post weekly articles on birding and also worked as an illustrator for the News Post News Service. Janet has taught art at FCC and the Banner School and presently has an art studio in Frederick, MD with her husband, Olin Nave.
